DESCRIPTION OF TOUR

Guests are picked up in air-conditioned buses from their hotel along Montego Bay’s beautiful North Coast and taken to the famous 6,000 acre Rose Hall Estate.

Your adventure begins with a short safety and tour briefing, followed by a demonstration on the use of the bikes. Once everyone has been given their helmets and are comfortable having ridden in the practice ring, you start out on your ten mile round trip fully guided journey to 700 feet above sea level to the beautiful Mount Zion.

Along the way you will learn about the flora and fauna and see fantastic views, getting a glimpse of Johnny Cash’s house and Cuba on a clear day. Learn about the interesting history of the Rose Hall Great House and Estate which was once a working sugar plantation in the 1700-1800’s. Guests will also learn about the Rollins story of an American businessman who fell in love with our Island and paved the way for the development of Jamaica’s tourism.

All this fun is experienced on easy to ride fully automatic ATV’s, which take you through the meandering dirt trails and rolling hills, which are a part of the signature landscape of the Rose Hall Estate.

On returning to the Jamaica ATV base, guests can cool off and relax while soaking up the amazing view of Jamaica’s coastline at the Oasis Bar before being transferred back to their hotel.

The Maroon Story:
Join us on a journey through time, back to the early seventeeth century when the Spanish; under attack from British Forces, set their slaves free, and fled from the island.

The free slaves became the legendary Maroons, and continued to fight the British to maintain that freedom (Peace Treaty was signed in 1739).

Today they live a peaceful and quiet life, high in the mountains, living off the land just as their ancestors did over 300 years ago. They are self-governed and an elected Colonel is the head of state.

The White Witch awaits you in the great house at Rose Hall. Dead more than a century, Annie Palmer still stirs memories of her reign as the mistress of the Rose Hall Great House. Cursed by slaves, the white witch, Annie Palmer, turned a magnificent plantation into a hellhouse of atrocities. Countless slaves fell prey to her torture while all three of her husbands met death at her hands.
