Everywhere in the archipelago, nature is so enticing and luxuriant that being embraced by it and hearing the constant melody of flowing water and tropical bird songs of the "piade, tapé or coucou-manioc" will make you think you are in paradise !
Breathing in the smell of chlorophyll, tasting wild berries, being brushed by delicate mountain flowers, sliding on a bed of moss, paddling in warm mud and being soaked with fine rain – that’s experiencing a real tropical adventure.

Animal Parks

Friendly places for finding and rediscovering species of fauna from Guadeloupe and the Antilles which are protected or in the process of disappearing altogether. You’ll be greeted by the “raccoon”, the mascot of Guadeloupe, who will introduce you to his other relatives – the agouti, the muskrat and the mongoose – and his fellow residents. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see any reptiles (snakes or vipers) as they never existed on the archipelago. We have to preserve its environment, but also what’s in it

Beaches

Like the myriad of colours on which its people are based, the Guadeloupean archipelago has a rich variety of sandy and pebble beaches in colours shades you won’t find anywhere else in the world black, grey, pink, golden, brown and white sand. Depending which part of the archipelago you visit, the sand will be lighter or darker and its texture will vary. The choice for bathing is yours in the waters of the Caribbean Sea or the Atlantic Ocean

Bodyboarding

Defying two of the four elements, wind and water, on just a frail craft, slalom or freestyle – you must be doing it for a bet or a dare ! After a few minutes’ introduction and advice on stance and balance, and how to fix the safety harness, you’re off on a wild ride on the Atlantic seas. A bit of a race with the dolphins, holding your course, and then you can think of heading back to the warm sand where a hero’s welcome awaits you

Canoeing

How fantastic, paddling around azure blue lagoons, reliving the time of the Caribs, who went right up the Antilles arc in dugout boats – it’s easy, just keep on paddling !!!
Discover the pleasure of a seated trip as you enjoy this sport on our blue lagoons, and observe the sandy seabeds dotted with reefs, populated with all the different species of aquatic life of the archipelago

Ecotourism

In an extraordinary environment like the Guadeloupe Islands, the motivation for the development of a long-term tourism that controls the respect of nature, the local habits and the exploitation of our resources has given life to several ecotourism associations and has supported the ecotourism activities of the National Park of Guadeloupe.

Explore rivers

Most of the rivers providing water for the Guadeloupean soil are to be found on Basse-Terre ! Their waters are very cool and will provide you with a lovely, invigorating bath. Some have relaxing properties and are constantly sought out by a large number of Guadeloupeans and visitors alike. Among the best known are : La lézarde, Corossol, Bras David, Acomat, St Louis, Bois Mahler...
In some cases, parts of the riverbeds have formed into well known bathing places known as the "yellow baths", the "plains", "Sofaïa" "Dolé" and "Hot Ravine", or else the rivers end their mad journey in spectacular waterfalls such as : Le Carbet, Moreau, la Lézarde, Vauchelet, les Ecrevisses, and les Trois Cornes. There’s nothing nicer, after a pleasant walk in the forest, than to have a lovely bathe in the river

Floral Parks
