Aruba beach

Aruba beaches

Aruba's beaches consist of white sand and calm waters, each with it's own flavour to suit your taste. They are considered to be some of the best beaches in the world.
The island's entire leeward (south) coast, the island's gold coast, is filled with beaches and their attendant small and large hotels. The beaches are all public and access is easy; either through a hotel or by parking directly at the beach.

Clothing:
Public nudity of any kind is illegal and insulting to the Aruban people. However, there are many very secluded small beaches along the northeast coast, some requiring a 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach, where you may be alone and do as you wish, subject to interruption at any time by 4-WD or horseback tours. There are no facilities of any kind nearby and the surf is extremly rough and dangerous for swimming. Topless sunbathing and swimming is not against the law, and tolerated on most beaches in the resort areas.

Beaches

Hadicurari Beach is located just south of the lighthouse near the northwestern tip of Aruba and is known for terrific snorkeling.

Palm Beach is famous for calm waters and is located right in front of the luxurious high-rise hotel stretch of the island.

Eagle Beach is a well-visited public beach for locals, replete with shaded picnic areas and plenty of parking right off the main road. Several low-rise hotels are nearby, just off the street from the beach.

Rodgers Beach features a slightly rough surf. It is located close to the Baby Beach, offering shady areas and shower facilities. It was a popular place for those that worked at the oil refinery and their families.

Baby Beach is located in the area known as Seroe Colorado at the southeastern end of the island. It got its name because the calm and shallow waters make it ideal for children and/or inexperienced swimmers. Snorkelers will enjoy gorgeous coral heads in the channel.

Surf Side Beach is accessible by public bus, car or taxi and has excellent calm water.

Punta Brabo Beach Gentle surf conditions. The beach is a broad stretch of white powder sand and hotel facilities are nearby. Accessible by public bus, car or taxi.

Arashi Beach Has excellent calm water for a swim. White powder sand and there are No facilities, but there are some beach huts for shade, and plenty of parking. Accessible car or taxi, or a 10-minute walk from the last bus stop on Malmok.

Malmok Beach has shallow water and because of the lots of fish make this another good choice for snorkeling. White sand lines some of the little bays. There are no nearby facilities. Accessible by public bus, car or taxi.

Boca Catalina Beach Shallow water and white sand with some pebbles and stones, lots of fish make this again another good choice for snorkeling. Boca Catalina has no nearby facilities. Accessible by car or taxi.

Druif Beach Excellent swimming conditions with calm water. Broad stretch of white powder sandy beach and hotel facilities are nearby. Accessible by public bus, car or taxi.
